1. Information we handle
We handle the information needed to provide MIPLES. You may use a Place and leave a note without signing in.
- Google sign-in: your Google account's unique identifier and display name. We do not request your Google password, email address, or access to your Google files and contacts.
- Place and note data: Place name and style; note text or uploaded photo, writer name, color, sticker, visibility, pin setting, and creation time.
- Usage data: Place visit records, including the Place, visit time, and whether the visitor was an owner or guest. If you create a Place from another Place's guest screen, we also record which Place led to its creation. Infrastructure providers may process standard access information such as IP address and browser details.
- Google Analytics: page views and interactions, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers used to understand site usage.
- Kakao Pixel: page views and browser identifiers used to measure Kakao ad performance.
- Microsoft Clarity: page views, clicks, scrolling and other interactions, device and browser information, and session replay data used to understand site usage. Place names and note content are masked in Clarity.
- Device data: a session cookie after sign-in, a language preference cookie, and browser storage for Place ownership tokens and notes you have written as a guest.
2. Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, recognize Place owners, display and manage Places and notes, count visits and Places created from guest screens, remember your language, understand site usage, measure Kakao ad performance, review site interactions with Microsoft Clarity, protect the service, and respond to support or privacy requests. Google sign-in data is used only for authentication and linking your Places to your account.
3. Who can see notes
A Place can be visited through its link. Place names and styles are visible to visitors. The Place owner can see all notes. Other visitors see note text or photos only when the owner has made them public. Photo URLs can be opened by anyone who has the URL. A guest can also see a note they have just written on the same browser because the browser stores a local record of it. Do not include sensitive personal information in a note or writer name.
5. Retention and deletion
Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days; signing out invalidates the current session. Place and note data remains while the Place is operated, unless deleted or a valid deletion request is fulfilled. A Place owner can delete individual notes. Browser storage remains on your device until you clear it. Some records may be retained when required by law or needed to resolve a dispute, then deleted when that need ends. You can request access, correction, or deletion using the contact information below.
6. Cookies and your choices
The sign-in cookie keeps you authenticated. The language cookie remembers your choice. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. Kakao Pixel uses browser cookies for ad measurement. Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to connect visits and sessions. Browser storage keeps Place ownership tokens and your own guest-note display history. You can clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or remove this device's access to a Place that has not been linked to your Google account.
7. Security
We use access controls and standard technical safeguards to protect stored information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you think your information or Place access has been compromised.
8. Your rights and contact
You can ask about your personal information, request access, correction, or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that you own the relevant account or Place before acting on a request.
